About the Speakers
Charles Carmakal is one of FireEye Mandiant’s leading incident response experts. He oversees a team that has helped over a thousand organizations respond to complex security breaches orchestrated by foreign governments, organized criminals, and political hacktivists. Mr. Carmakal has 20 years of experience helping organizations become more resilient to cyber attacks and frequently provides strategic security guidance to executive leadership and boards of directors.
Mr. Carmakal has conducted television and print interviews by media organizations including 60 Minutes, CNBC, Wall Street Journal, Reuters, Bloomberg, New York Times, Washington Post, NBC News, and Fox Business.
Prior to joining Mandiant, Mr. Carmakal served in various leadership roles within PwC in the US and Australia. He received Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Decision and Information Sciences from the University of Florida.
Jonathan Waldrop is a security and technology management expert with 15 years of experience as a leader in a variety of organizations, in corporate and government environments. He builds relationships to guide teams toward an objective and has expertise in information security, architecture, risk, and information assurance. Jonathan secures a hybrid environment of co-lo, and cloud-based systems, supporting ~4000 users across North America.
Jason Lewkowicz is an experienced senior executive with over 2 decades in various aspects of business, specializing in: information security, risk governance, crisis management, technology consulting, outsourcing and operations. He is currently the SVP of Cyber Defense and Applied Security for Optiv, leading their global cyber security efforts.
Alan Levine is Board Chairman and founding member of Carnegie Mellon University’s Chief Information Security Officer’s Executive Program. He has received numerous awards for his work in cyber security, including personal commendations from the FBI for his contributions to national security.
Alan was the global Information Security Officer for Alcoa Inc, with worldwide responsibilities for all aspects of cyber security, based in Pittsburgh, PA. Alan also served as the Chief Privacy Officer for the company, also responsible for Export Controlled data compliance and eDiscovery.
