SecOps Needs More Democratization, Not Less SOC
An increasing complexity of technologies, as well as an increasing number of failures and attacks followed by an increasing dependency on business goals is changing the way we run Security Operations Centers. While bringing business experts into a SOC function might help security professionals get a better alignment with the business and strategize the SOC, it will not address all the scalability and agility problems inherent in a SOC.
A Conversation with Gary Gooden
Gary Gooden, Chief Technology and Security Officer at Seattle Children’s, has over 20 years of experience in technology infrastructure and application development. Gary was previously the CISO at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and the Senior IT Manager at Amgen. He spent over thirteen years at Walt Disney Studios as the Divisional CIO and as Vice President Studio, IT. In 2020, Gary earned a Zero Trust Strategist certification from Forrester.
