Lisa Markey is the Chief Information Security Officer at Shearman & Sterling LLP, a global law firm. Few CISOs chart a direct career line from college to the corner office and Lisa’s journey is no exception. But how many CISOs have traveled the world before settling into their careers? How many CISOs started their careers by navigating a global computer virus? Lisa believes relationship building and technical expertise are imperatives for CISO success however creativity may be the most critical attribute for CISOs. Lisa also shares her views on the glass ceiling, competition, empowerment, and other issues impacting working women.
